Jacqueline Patterson on Upholding the Beloved Community

On Tuesday, October 24th, Jacqueline Patterson spoke about her work advancing environmental and climate justice in a talk entitled “Upholding the Beloved Community: Advancing a Just Transition to a Sustainable Planet.”

Jacqueline Patterson is the Director of the NAACP Environmental and Climate Justice Program. As a researcher, program manager, coordinator, advocate and activist, she has focused on women’s rights, violence against women, HIV&AIDS, racial justice, economic justice, emergency response, and environmental and climate justice. Patterson holds a MSW from the University of Maryland and a MPH from Johns Hopkins University.
